This would give me a reason! As for mystery series, I really like Tess Gerritsen and her series following Maura Isles, as well as Linda Fairstein and Kathy Reichs books. Christian fiction mysteries are a favorite too, you could try Kathy Herman or Colleen Coble for those!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-68723518077089891892007-04-02T11:50:00.000-06:002007-04-02T11:50:00.000-06:00I'd pick the Maisie Dobbs book; I've heard so many...I'd pick the Maisie Dobbs book; I've heard so many people who are positive about this series. And, as for series I like...well, the Boris Akunin books featuring Erast Fandorin (translated from Russian)are great. Then there's Laurie King's Mary Russell books, or Joanne Dobson's academic series, or Dianne Day's Fremont Jones mysteries. Also there is a 4 book series by Sarah Caudwell featuring British lawyers which is absolutely, brilliantly clever. Sadly it has only 4 as she has passed away.
