As much as I love to read there are other things that also make you happy and you shouldn't leave any of them out! Take it from an old person.. life is way toooooo short! I didn't do that well myself. Knitting is my addiction that takes away precious reading time. I've struggled to find a way to do both at once but haven't been successful. I have just ordered five books in the Cliff Janeway series and look forward to getting them. Have a happy and healthy new year!!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00795619401977840939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-614031904072229962008-01-02T13:30:00.000-07:002008-01-02T13:30:00.000-07:00Woot! But, you had ...Yes, the internet does gobble time. But, you had a great year. Mine was not as good as 2006, but I've been keeping track of numbers for about 7 years now, and I'm realizing that it isn't quantity that counts so much as whether you're reading books you enjoy. Sounds like you read some good ones. I'm about to plunge into a Gardella novel, soon, if I can just get this other book finished. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-55167724845309998762008-01-02T05:55:00.000-07:002008-01-02T05:55:00.000-07:0087 - that is most impressive. That's a goo...87 books and 18 reading challenges... That's a good Pat on the back!! Great job!!! Wish i could say the same for me!! I'm more in the 40 somethings with only a handful of reading challenges... Hopefully one day I'll become as great so you!!! So... I wanted to let you all know, that I read my 1st book in 2008!! And only because it has very little content and a lot of pictures (on each page in fact!)
The book is called Fables From The Mud by Erik Quisling
. At first I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read this book and was really dumbfounded by the content. It has very few words but will have you laughing out loud as you read it with his side-splittingly comical content. Every page in the book has a basic hand-drawn picture with mostly a line or two of words. I read the book pretty quick but kept returning to re-read some of the kooky antics.Chrissyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00172161771979652167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-74061852618406722442008-01-01T13:22:00.000-07:002008-01-01T13:22:00.000-07:00Some days I definitely spend way too much time bro...Some days I definitely spend way too much time browsing the internet, too. I did read more before the internet, but I've been so inspired by suggestions of other bloggers to read books I might never have known about. Your suggestion of Wild Swans was one of my favorites of last year. I might never have known about it had you not left a comment suggesting it.

You have had an excellent reading year in 2007 and 2008 holds great promise!jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-78019453496233856342008-01-01T12:02:00.000-07:002008-01-01T12:02:00.000-07:00Yay for Thursday Next! 87 is an impressive number....Yay for Thursday Next! 87 is an impressive number.
