I have only read her Inspector Pitt novels (some not all of them). This one looks quite good!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-53771495664336948072007-04-10T16:51:00.000-06:002007-04-10T16:51:00.000-06:00Lynne, yes it is nice to have the next book come o...Lynne, yes it is nice to have the next book come out so soon. The fist ones didn't come out so close together.

CJ, I have read most of the Monk series and a few of the Pitt series. I think Perry's WWI series is her best. She's one of my favorite authors.Bookloggedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00651016653247142255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-62922136498356906302007-04-10T15:31:00.000-06:002007-04-10T15:31:00.000-06:00I'm a huge fan of Anne Perry's Thomas and Charlott...I'm a huge fan of Anne Perry's Thomas and Charlotte Pitt books and her Monk series but I haven't read this series. I picked up the first one when it came out but my mother was in the hospital and I didn't get it read.

Anyway, have you read any of her other books? If so, does this series compare favorably with them?

I appreciate the review and the additional information, if you have any to pass on.

CJHillCJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07798965643027904154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-38263294258124777142007-04-10T02:40:00.000-06:002007-04-10T02:40:00.000-06:00I've never read this book or any by Anne Perry. I hate reading a book in a series, then have to wait another year for the next one. I wish the author could write as quickly as I read. She does write well and has made a good life for herself.Bookloggedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00651016653247142255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22500980.post-15018195799168410932007-04-09T14:26:00.000-06:002007-04-09T14:26:00.000-06:00I know; I still have one review to write that I fi...I know; I still have one review to write that I finished the other day.

I've read quite a few of Perry's Victorian mysteries -those with Inspector Pitt and Charlotte, and the ones with William Monk and Hester, but haven't read any of the ones she's written about WWI.

She has fascinated me for years, especially with her own background. I remember hearing about it when I first read her novels and later watched the movie Heavenly Creatures that was based on Perry's own story.jenclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046532245054911248noreply@blogger.com
