I'm off for 3 days to the SLC Book Festival. My mother, sister, daughter and I are going out together. Should be lots of fun. Shannon Hale, who wrote Goose Girl and Princess academy, is one author we're excited about. Have a great weekend.
What a great trip - books and family! I had wanted to attend the Louisiana Book Festival in Baton Rouge this weekend, but must attend a wedding in Shreveport instead. It would have been a wonderful opportunity to visit with my daughter and grandchildren AND see lots of authors and books.

I can never get organized enough to actually get to things, which is unfortunate because in this city, I could be seeing cool stuff every weekend.
