by Mary Higgins Clark
I think I've read all of Clark's mysteries* so when I noticed her most recent one, I picked it up. It was good. I'd probably rate it 3.25 stars, if I still did ratings.
Carolyn's brother has been missing for years; the only contact she and her mother have with him is when he calls every year on Mother's Day. After Mac's last call, Carolyn decides she is going to search for him. Her actions put her life in danger and has the reader guessing about the people she comes in contact with and what motivates some of their actions.
*I looked on amazon.com and discovered Clark has another recent book I haven't read, I Heard That Song Before, and she has a new one coming out in April, Just Take My Heart.

I enjoy her books as well, but haven't kept up on her recent books lately. I will keep my eyes open for this one.
I use to read Higgins a long time ago. I haven't picked one up in quite a while. I need to add more mysteries to my reading mix!!
I just picked this up at a library book sale for $1. I couldn't pass it up knowing that it was one of her latest. I'm glad you thought it was good.
HA! I see you are reading Hour Game - I could have picked that one up, too, but I didn't because I thought it was a political thriller. Is that right?
I have only read a couple of Higgins' books, but I bought a couple of her Christmas books this year. Just haven't read them yet.
It's been ages since I last read a Mary Higgins Clark book. I used to eat her books up like they were candy. :-) I run into her and her daughter now and then at the book festival I attend each spring. She's such a wonderful person. Everyone's grandma. :-)
Staci, I read them more faithfully 10-15 years ago, but every once in awhile I notice a new one.
Joy, it's definitely worth a dollar. Actually, it's pretty good. I'll be posting a review of Hour Game soon. It's not a political thriller, but about 2 ex-secret service people who are private investigators. I think you'd really like it.
Framed, something to look forward to this next Dec.
Lit Feline, what city holds that book festival in the spring? The closest one to me is held in the fall which is fine. I think it would be fun to plan a trip that included a book festival. Someday I'd like to go to the one in D.C.
I tagged you for a bookshelf meme. I hope you don't mind. It is at:

The book festival I attend every year is in Los Angeles. It's called the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. It's a lot of fun and draws a pretty big crowd (which isn't always so fun--but I do like that books are getting so much attention!).
Oh. :( Well, I guess that's good news anyway. The next time I see - I'll snatch it up. Thanks!
GREAT! You did it! Love the signature. :)
