Sounds like the review I'm about to write for Mortal Prey (John Sandford). I enjoyed it, but it wasn't one of his best.
I thought this book was awful. I am reading Run For Your Life; Patterson now and it's much much better.
You know, I have never read a James Patterson novel.
Maybe I should.
I read quite a few of Patterson's Alex Cross books and really liked them. Then got tired of them. I haven't read any of his others although I have a couple of his romances on the shelf. What possessed me to buy those, I can't imagine.
I love his Alex Cross books so I read all of them. I did just finish Against Medical Advice and found that book to be a real eye-opener for people who suffer from tourette's. For the most part I stay away from the ones he co-writes with other people.
I read James Patterson once in a while and I never feel any huge desire to write long-winded reviews, either!
Given the fact that you didn't enjoy the book enough to post your own review of it I will definitely not waste my time picking it up, even from the library. James Patterson makes me sad. I used to run to the bookstore whenever a new Alex Cross came out and now I don't even pick one up to read the book flap.

I've been disappointed with James Patterson books as of late, but I liked this one because it seemed so different than the others. I've never read an Alex Cross book yet, and after reading some of his more recent work, I'm not sure I should bother.

I reread my post from last night and I think I might owe you an apology. When I read the post again I feel I sounded cranky toward you and that totally wasn't the case. I was trying to say when a serious reader/blogger doesn't want to review a book she just read then it really must be yuck, especially in the case of James Patterson. I always enjoy your posts and blog.
