I was just trying to catch up on some of my favorite blogs before heading for bed.
Wimpulsive talked about getting a review book from a site I'd never heard of before so off I went to check out
BookBrowse. (I didn't even finish reading her review - I'll be back, SuziQ, I promise!) I can tell that I'm going to spend hours browsing this terrific site. It's a gold mine of information, book suggestions, book club tips, etc., etc. It even features a giveaway. Thanks SuziQ to leading me to BoodBrowse.
One of the first thing I noticed was a quiz on reading personality. Like I need to take another quiz?! But I did. Here's the result:
Your Reading Personality: Eclectic Reader!
You read for entertainment but also to expand your mind. You're open to new ideas and new writers, and are not wedded to a particular genre or limited range of authors.
Here's a link to the quiz if you'd like to take it. Start quiz

Glad I led you to Bookbrowse. I get many good recommendations and info about upcoming books from them.
I've used BookBrowse as a tool for sourcing book club books for a couple years now, but I haven't brought myself to pay for the membership yet. Have you gone that route and if so, would you say it's worth it?
I'm still debating joining or not. For the time being I'm just going to check it out without joining. Like you I'd like to hear from somebody who has joined and who can explain why we should. It's a pretty cool site, tho.
I gave joining a try for a year - I don't actually go to the site that ofteh, but I like the recommendation and new books preview emails every month. I ussually end up adding some to my TBR list. I don't often request any of the ARCs they offer (usually just a few every month), but I have gotten two. I didn't hesitate to renew when my year was up.
It is a fun site. I will have to spend some more time there. I took the quiz and found I have a split personality. I fit all four groups equally. Why am I not surprised?
I LOVE bookbrowse!
I think it's great that you're an eclectic reader. There's no sense getting stuck with just one genre. That's why I could never have, or read (!), a blog that's only on YA, or mystery, or classics. I want to know about all the literature that's out there! I hope when I take the quiz I come out as you did.
I haven't taken the quiz,, but I am sure I am an eclectic reader as well. I am not really crazy about tying myself down to one genre, and sometimes the weirdness of a book entices me far more than it should. I am off to take the quiz to see if I am right!
Booklogged,
Thanks for sharing this quiz, which I just completed, too -- posted the results on my blog. Great fun!
