I'm being featured on Elizabeth's blog As Usual, I Need More Bookshelves. She hosts this cool feature called 451 Fridays. 451 Fridays is based on an idea from Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. In his novel, a group of people (Bradbury calls them Book People) are trying to keep the ideas found in books alive. Instead of actually saving the books, the Book People each "become" a book - memorizing it, word for word, and passing it down to the next generation.
451 Fridays asks what books you feel passionate about. What book do you think is so important that you would be willing to take on the challenge of "becoming"?
Skip on over to Elizabeth's blog and see what 5 books I feel passionate about and which book I would choose to 'become'.

I liked your five book choices, but I thought it was great that you picked Anne of Green Gables. I think that's a book about how each individual can make a difference and how everyone has a story.
Looks like a good list. I love that first quote from Ann. What a great attitude to have. 54 Books is also an interesting concept worth thinking about. Thanks
Great interview. I'll have to read Fahrenheit 451 someday. I love Anne of Green Gables as well. I know I receommended it to you years ago but you probably have forgotten that.
Thanks so much for participating!
What a great concept and I love your answers! (Although I haven't read anything by Ayn Rand so can't comment on that one) I would agree that of all your choices, I would have to go with Anne, too.
I adored The Book Thief. Thanks for participating. I found a new blog to read! Yipee!
Yay! Glad to see you featured over there. I liked your list a lot too!
I love all the books you chose, with the exception of Atlas Shrugged (but only because I haven't read it)! How fun to be included on 451 Fridays. And what a great photo of you reading to the kiddos!
I read "The Poisonwood Bible," "The Book Thief" and "Anne of Green Gables." They're among my all-time faves.
