Decades Challenge 2008
10/10/2007
I have enjoyed doing the Decade Challenge this year and so, of course, I'm going to jump on the bandwagon again for 2008. Thanks to 3M from 1 More Chapter for hosting this fun challenge. The challenge runs from Jan 1 through Dec 31, 2008. The goal is to read 8 books from consecutive decades. 3M has set up a blog dedicated to the challenge where you can sign up and get suggestions of books for 20 decades. I really have to hand it to 3M for the wonderful resource she's provided. She's put in some hours creating this blog. Thanks, 3M. You're awesome! Decades Challenge 2008 Blog

I imagine your computer is working over time creating a spreadsheet to keep track of all these challenges. I'm considering a few, but I'm so far behind on the ones I'm already in, that I'm making myself wait until December to post my lists. That 888 Challenge might be too intimidating for me.
Great list, Booklogged! :)
Thanks so much!
I'm so glad you're participating again this year!
Hope it's okay that I signed you up already on the Mr. Linky!
No more 'bone' books to pick? You almost had a theme there.
I hope you've got some overlap for challenges! Looks like a good list. I've heard really polarized reviews of Keri Hulme's book so I'll be interested in what you thought of it. (Even though I haven't read it either.)
Oh, Framed, what have I done?! I started working on a spreadsheet last night for 2008. YIKES! It scared me to death. The triple 8 challenge is the killer. What was I thinking - there's no way I can read 56 books in a year.
Joy, thanks.
3M, I'm looking forward to this challenge. Thanks for hosting.
Raidergirl3, interesting that you should mention the 'bones' - I have a list of 12 or so titles that all include the word bone for the themed reading challenge.
Carrie, There is some overlap. Even then it's going to be tight.
I have enjoyed this year's decades challenge too!! (I'm still trying to finish up!) I have to say, I don't think I've read any of the books on your list. But they all sound good. I haven't met a Newberry that I didn't like!
