I love the new look of your blog! So cool! :-)

I've been really curious about the Jan Burke series and the Boris Akunin series. And the Dennis Lehane series . . . I hope you enjoy your books!

What a beautiful new look to your blog! I love it! I'm anxious to hear what you have to say about the Boris Akunin series. I've been wondering about them.

You had a great week! Everyone seems to love Pratchett's work - hope you do too.

I have a love/hate relationship with series since I never manage to stay up on them! Enjoy your new books.

Wow, what a great week you had!! I really liked Lacemakers of Glenmara.

LOVE your blog background photo! And I like that you used the revolving widget. I may try that sometime (when I have enough books to make it interesting).

Wow - so many great books! Isn't it great when you find fun series and actually start getting some of the books? I recently read the Lady Emily book. . . BOOK 4! I didn't realize it was a series until it arrived. LOL - I'll be trying to get those early books as well.

Here's my Mailbox! ~ Wendi :)

I really like the new background!

Wintersmith by Pratchett is book 3, I thought... I don't even think there is a fourth book, but I could be wrong!

LitFeline, thanks for the nice compliment. I hope I get to read some of these soon.

Beverooni, I love your name! The Akunin books are thin so maybe I'll get them read in short order. I'll let you know if I like them.

Guatami tripathy, thanks. I get excited looking at them.

Kaye, love your little penguin picture.

DCMetrometer, I'm looking forward to listening to The Castaways. I can only listen when my husband or kids or not around.

Bermudaonion, I love Pratchett, too. My favorite, so far, is Mort.

Kristen, me, too. I try not to worry about keeping up with a series if it gets away from me. The thing that is hardest for me is when I hear about a series that really sounds good to me but it already has 10 books published. No way am I going to even try!

I sure like picking up a new book in a series that I love and reconnecting with the characters.

Mary, I like that carousel gadget. It was easy to set up and definitely the way to go on heavier weeks. My mother is reading The Lace Readers of Glenmara. I'm anxious to hear her reaction.

Diane, Thanks, for the nice compliment. I'll be over in a minute to check out what fun books found their way to your house this week.

Wendi B, I actually haven't read any of the Lady Emily books, but I had #2 on my shelf and my mother borrowed it and really liked it. So I ordered books 1 and 3. I thougt I'd wait for #4 to go down in price, at least at the used book sites.

I like series - getting to know the characters better with each book. If it's been awhile since you've read one it's good to reconnect with an old friend. Sometimes those series can get so long, though and I fall behind easily. I'm thinking of Elizabeth Peter's Amelia Peabody series. Holy smokes - there must be 24 books and I've only read 8 or 10. Probably never will catch up to with that one!

Kailana, I think you're right about Wintersmith being book 3. I changed it in my post. Thanks.

Marie, the weather's about to change in Utah. I think I'll be ready for some hot mulled cider by Wed.

Iliana, I do too. It's fun to get to know characters and then touch bases with them periodically, isn't it?

By the way - I love that you've been able to change your comment tag to "Welcomed Responses" - I've got to figure out how to do that!!

All I can say is you'd better get busy reading all those. I'll wait for you reaction before I ask to borrow them. What's Mom doing borrowing books from you? She got three from a couple of weeks ago. Two I hadn't read yet and I can't remember which ones.

I really want to read the Kenzie-Gennaro series by LeHane. Have you read any in that series?
