The Husband

by Dean Koontz (read June 2006)
Now I can go on with my life. I had this book on hold at the library, but they hadn't even order it yet. I kept choosing easy, slim books to read so that I could hurry and finish them if The Husband should show up. I knew I would want to drop everything else and read it. The time came when all the easy books on my summer reading program were read and still no Koontz. So I picked up the 850 page, small print Outlander and began reading. Sunday my daughter comes come from a trip and hands me The Husband. She bought it for me. Is that about the sweetest surprise ever?! Outlander went on the back burner.

The Husband is in typical Koontz style, except that it started out slower. Though not among my favorites of Koontz novels, I liked it a lot. Easy to read, keeps you turning the pages and wanting answers. I give it a 4 rating (out of 5).

So will you be going back to those slimmer reads, Booklogged?

Susan, now I can read any size book, because I don't have to hold my breath for The Husband to get here. YEAH!

Katie, you ask do I rate? I'm THE MOM! Besides Aly wants to read it, too. Good luck on that graduation trip, sounds way fun.

What happened to your blog? Not that I don't like this template, but you had put so much work into your last one. I tried to get on your page earlier today and it wouldn't open. Did you have a problem?

I'm glad you enjoyed your suprise. Katie, I almost bought you a book, but I couldn't remember which of the Lois Lowry books you didn't own. Plus, you have never actually said the Barnes and Noble thing to me. :)

I other blog just disappeared on me. Last night it was fine when I went to bed. Two people posted to it in the night. This morning I opened it to a page that revealed 1/2 my template. When I checked on the template there was only 1/2 of it. So I tried changing to a new background and everything but my links and sidebar pictures came back. So that's the bad and good news in a nutshell. So always keep a copy of your template on backup. I think I do, I'll just need to look for it when time permits.

So, I admit that I've been enjoying watching the blog morph over the past few days. Looks nice now, though, too.

Wow! Quite the few days for my poor blog. I'm tired of working with it, so it's staying this way for awhile. I have enjoyed learning so much about html, though. Maybe I'll take some classes just for the fun of it.
