- The rules are to choose one author and read at least 3 books by that author.
- The time period is between Sep. and Dec. 2007
I'm choosing to read more books by John Dunning, the author of the Cliff Janeway series. Earlier in the year I read the first in the series, Booked to Die. I liked it so much that I shared it with my mother and brother and they have both read 3 more in the series. Not to be outdone, I need to catch up! So my 3 books will be...
1. The Bookman's Wake
2. The Bookman's Promise
3. The Sign of the Book

There was a time I might have participated in this type of challenge, but now I can't stand to read two books by the same author within a month or two - sometimes even longer. Weird. Have fun!
How funny! I just bought a copy of Booked to Die today for my parents! My husband has read the entire series and I thought maybe my folks would like a copy of the first in the series. I still need to read them myself. Maybe I'll join the challenge.
Ack! I'm running away RIGHT now before I sign up for another challenge!!
Funny, though. I just picked up Booked to Die at the library! If you are continuing the series, then I have high hopes it will be good!
I'm like bookfool...I don't usually read two books by the same author within a short period of time, but hey, come to think of it, this would be a perfect "challenge"!
I hope you have fun participating booklogged and thank you for lettig us know.
Bookfool, reading one author back to back is not my preference either. In fact, I just about didn't join for that reason, but I hope I can intersperse Dunning with other authors from now until Dec.
Les, I think you'd really enjoy Booked to Die. How's the lovely coast of Oregon looking? Hope you're thoroughly enjoying yourself.
Stephanie, I look forward to your thoughts about Booked to Die.
Lotus, I've got so many books to read before Dec. that I'm hoping I won't have to read Dunning back to back. I really need variety in my reading. Heck, I need to change activities every 45 min or so no matter what I'm doing. Short attention span.
John Dunning's series is pretty good. Oddly enough, my brother, who worked in a bookstore, brought the books to my attention.
I like the fact that Janeway changes as the series continues. Of course, I've learned a lot about books and collecting from the series, too.
Oh! I luv Janeway!! Unfortunately I have only read the first two, so far, so I look forward to your reviews, especially "Bookman's Promise" (remember I'm reading, tho, so no spoilers! LoL)
