Think Twice

by Lisa Scottoline

You all know I love mysteries and I love Lisa Scottoline so when I stopped at the library to get some books for my mother and saw this on the new shelf -- well, you know!  To my credit I did finish the book I was reading before starting Think Twice.

In Think Twice we get to catch up with the fabulous characters that make up the all female Rosato & Associates Legal Firm.  Bennie Rosato's twin sister shows up again and causes untold problems for Bennie.

The format reminded me of a Mary Higgins Clark novel - chapters switching between characters and action of the story.  Chapters shuffled between Bennie, her twin sister Alice and Mary DiNunzio until all 3 characters come together for the final chapters of the book.

The pacing is fast and I zipped through this book in a hurry.  Had to get answers and find out if Alice was going to totally fool Bennie's boyfriend.

I love Scottoline's stand-alones but it's always fun to come back to this series.  What Scottoline needs to do is write one stand-alone and one Rosato book every year - or more often, I won't complain!

I haven't read this one yet, but I really like her Rosato & Associates books too. Glad to hear this one worked for you.

I've only read one of Scottoline's books (Killer Smile, I think), but I'm ready for a book I can zip through. This sounds like it might be just the ticket. Do I need to read the others in the series first?

I have never read anything by this author, so I am curious to try something after reading your praise for her. Can you recommend a stand alone title that you think I might like??

I really enjoyed this one as well. I think I have read most of her stand-alones, but only one other of the Rosato & Associates. I keep meaning to go back and start the series.

I do agree with you - I wish she would write more each year :)

Kay, it's a good series, isn't it?

Les, I haven't read them in order and it doesn't seem to diminish my enjoyment of them at all.

Zibilee, I really liked Devil's Corner but I don't think you'd be disappointed with anything by her.

Crystal, there are several in the series I haven't read yet, either.

Serena, you should read one so you can discuss it with your mom. I lent my mother one and she complained of the language and didn't finish it. Funny, because I wasn't aware that any of them had bad language.
