Lost My Feed Addresses - HELP!

Santa delivered a new notebook computer for me. I know - totally awesome! But there was a catch - transferring all my important information. No real problem because I had a plan. I was going to set up the notebook next to the desktop, send what I could and copy the rest. Unfortunately, on the day I was going to do this the desktop decided to throw a fit and not start.

Not the end of the world because I still had most of my feeds listed in a widget on the sidebar of my blog. That is until tonight when I changed my blog background. My widget with your blog links were lost.

Please help me keep in touch. Leave me a quick hello in the comments so I can visit your blog and add it to my Sage Reader. Thank you so much.

You're on my list! The blog looks great. I'm reading the new Baldacci book - he's a terrific writer.

I read your blog, but I don't know if you read mine...feel free to stop by any time, though.

That's too bad about your bloglist. Hopefully, you'll be able to recreate your list!

Nothing is as awesome or aggravating as a new computer. Love them, but hate them too. Good luck putting everything back together! Happy New Year!

Hi, how is the new year going? Aside from computer glitches of course.
I got When Twilight Burns for Christmas and saw your name, and bookfool's, in the acknowledgements. That is so cool.

good luck with the computer crap. What the heck is a sage reader?

I hate when stuff like this happens!

I like the new look tho. Have you tried going back, temporarily, to another template and seeing if that widget reappears? Weirder things have happened.

That feed problem is one reason why I switched to an online reader like Google Reader.

Eidin said...

Why, I thought I would sashay over to your blog to say:

thanks for stopping by...

BTW - you are not alone. I just changed the template on another of my blogs and pretty much lost all the widgets. Two steps forward, one step back!

Thank-you to everyone who has commented. I have tried to visit each one of you today and leave a comment. Also, I added you to my Sage feed reader. Hope I didn't miss anyone. I know I'm still missing some. Hopefully, I will hear from those people in the next few days.

Raidergirl3, sage reader is a tool offered by Firefox that keeps track of blogs and websites that I frequent. It lets me know when there is new content. That way I don't need to click on every blog I follow to see if there's a new post - Sage will let me know. It's like Google Reader but I like it much better.

Candleman, I did try going back but it was lost for good. I like Sage better than the Blogspot widget anyway so I need to update it anyway. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hello!

One of the times when I'm glad my husband is such a computer geek is whenever I have to change over my system or upgrade. Such a pain!

I actually don't see your blogroll at all ...

Hi! I think your new blog look is grand. FYI, you used to link to my Evagation book blog at http://blog.ejly.net and the feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/blog/evagation

If you haven't yet, check out google reader as a feed reader - it works great!

The new look is very nice! And I like the new signature feature.

I lost a lot of links when I switched templates for some reason: good thing I had a backup so I just switched back and there they were. Whew! I'm scared to get a new computer for just this reason! Hope you have all the glitches worked out by now.
