Oh Canada!

Congratulations to Canada!  The cheers from the north could be heard across the border!

thanks booklogged!
Good to hear from you, I was by here the other day, wondering where you've been. That was a crazy hockey game! I was at my grandmother's in Summerside, with over 30 relatives watching the game, and at 24 seconds left, it got so quiet.

Raidergirl3, it was such an exciting game wasn't it? What a thrill for Canada to take gold in hockey during their Olympics!

HC, I am too. It was a great Olympics. I was glad I was able to watch so much. The curling had me intrigued and wishing I lived somewhere that had curling facilities.

It's so nice of you to be so happy for us! All the commentary after the Olympics talks about how the country has changed, and is being so proud of each other. We're not usually patriotic like that, but then, we are a younger country than you.

Curling is awesome! Is there no curling in Utah? That's too bad, because it's a sport that any age can play, truly. So much fun, and I only curl once a year at a funspiel. But I love to watch it on TV. Our national championships will be broadcast, two to three games per day for the full week. (on the sports channel) We'll watch as much as we can next week.

And from some of us south of the border, cheers rang out, too.
After an initial disappointment, what possibly could be better than our wonderful neighbors winning?
